7. Dog Surfing

8. Ferret Legging

A record was set in 2010 when Frank Bartlett and Christine Farnsworth managed to keep the ferrets in their pants for 5 hours and 30 minutes.

9. Goose Pulling

goose-pulling-5[6] The sport in which you hang a goose by its legs from a pole or a rope, while a man on a horse at a full gallop would attempt to grab the goose by the neck and pull its head off. In previous centuries the goose would be alive, nowadays the goose is humanely put down by a veterinarian. Goose pulling is practiced in Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany.

10. Hamster Racing

Hamsters race down a 30 ft long straight course in either miniature racing vehicles or hamster balls. In 2006, MTV promoted “HamTrak ‘06”, professional hamster racers that featured hamster teams sponsored by The Sun, XFM, Pimp my Ride and many others. In 2007, Petco announced the return of their biannual hamster races, branding it “Petco Hamster Ball Derby.”

16. Snail Races

The track is made up of a damp cloth on top of a flat surface and has a radius of 13 to 14 inches. The first snail to touch the outer circle of the ring is crowned the winner.
